No. You can manage inventory, contacts, horses, contracts, reproduction records, and invoices without a device. A QuickCheck unit is required for live semen readings and hardware-based Premium activation.
Yes — the QuickCheck web app runs in any browser, including on a Mac. It has the same records, contracts, invoicing, and Premium subscription as the Windows app, but it cannot connect to a QuickCheck unit for live readings; that requires the Windows app (USB, any Quick Check 2) or the Android app (Bluetooth, 2027-and-newer Quick Check 2 units).
Each user's data is isolated under Firebase Authentication. Cloud sync is optional, and records are stored locally when offline.
Register a connected QuickCheck unit for Premium access (unit must be reconnected every 3 months to maintain Premium access), or subscribe via Stripe on the Windows app or the web app. Click Refresh Premium Status in the Account dialog after subscribing.
