The ThermaSlide maintains a constant 37°C temperature – the optimum temperature to obtain accurate estimation of sperm motility.
Spermatozoa are very sensitive to small temperature variations – even the short time between the incubator and the microscope stage can visibly affect activity levels.
Simple to use
Simply plug in the ThermaSlide, place the microscope slide on the slide holder, and allow the unit to heat up. Indicator lights show when the unit is powered up, and when it is actively heating. When the heater light turns off, the unit has reached 37°C. The unit senses when the temperature falls, and continually controls the heating element to maintain a constant temperature.
Perfect for stallion breeders and mare owners alike, the ThermaSlide allows you to get the best possible estimation of the actual motility of any semen sample.
The ThermaSlide has been designed to be compatible with most standard microscope slide clips. The compact size and low profile of the ThermaSlide makes this the ideal addition to any microscope.
The ThermaSlide comes with a power supply for bench top use. Optional accessories include a battery pack and/or cigarette lighter adapter for field use.
